At this week, I have no idea what I should write about in my blog so... let me tell you the reason why I love the movie “Ralph Break The Internet” so much and how it inspired me to become a Disney animator.
Before this movie was launched in 2018, I had a chance to watch its first part: Break-it Ralph on Disney and that film impressed me a lot with its amazing plot, colorful candy game world, and meaningful messages. Therefore, when I heard of the sequel, I was excited and decided to go to the cinema to watch it immediately. And, that movie was beyond all my expectations.

Visual presentation of the Internet world

High quality animation is one of aspects that I really enjoy in Ralph Breaks The Internet. The character development is so great with new cool appearance of Disney’s own characters. I extremely impressed with the part that all the Disney princesses gathered together and overwhelmed with such a huge Internet world. The main world of the Internet is vibrant and constantly moving, while the grittier settings of Slaughter Race and the Dark Web offer variety of visual experience. There’s so much detail packed into almost every frame that you cannot possibly see it all in one viewing. That’s also one of the reasons that I demand to rewatch this movie again and again.
A story about friendship

There are a lot of really fun metaphors and hidden meanings behind the film. In spite of being best friends, Ralph and Vanellope are not on the same path in life. In the prequel, Ralph really works so hard to get a friend so he wants everything to stay the same. Vanellope, however, grows up and becomes more mature, wanting to explore new things. The arcade represents the childhood arena and the Internet is described as a sort of larger world. Vanellope feels like she belongs somewhere else in that bigger world but not in her candy game.
By showing how possessiveness over friends is unhealthy and counterproductive by having Ralph engage in duplicitous behavior to try and save his friendship with Vanellope, this movie promotes healthy friendship.
There will be times when people you care about make choices that upset you, but that is no reason to rob them of their freedom to make those choices.
We need to understand that sometimes friends can not accompany you from beginning to the end, but that doesn’t mean they no longer care about you.
So, that’s all about Ralph Breaks The Internet, the best animated movie I’ve ever seen. This is a smart combination of a story about friendship and many contemporary themes such as social bullying, social networking, internet safety, as well as Disney-themed parodies of real-life internet sites. What a movie, would absolutely recommend to anyone.
